When Armand was first being tested for a diagnosis, naturally both Lindy and I were shaken. Lindy used to deny it saying “there’s nothing wrong, he’s perfect, there can’t be anything wrong”. I felt the same way, but part of me wanted to brace myself just in case. I didn’t want to be in denial, then in for a heartbreaking shock — although, really, there is no bracing yourself for what we heard.

However, I was thinking yesterday, she was right, although she might not have known it.  Or maybe I just didn’t get what she was saying. There isn’t anything wrong with him; he is perfect. His body might not be, but he is.
