Rare Disease Day 2013

For those of you who haven’t seen many of our posts lately, and haven’t seen the banner on our page, tomorrow (Feb 28th) is Rare Disease Day, celebrated in 60 countries worldwide. This is a day to bring awareness not only to the population at large that there are people (mostly children) who have terrible diseases that don’t get the publicity of breast cancer, heart disease, HIV, or even alcoholism; it is also a day to bring awareness to the patients and family members, to let you know that you are not alone.

Please join us in showing a small bit of solidarity by wearing jeans tomorrow, for those who were born with imperfect genes.
